FAQS

Compounding

  • DO I HAVE TO HAVE A PRESCRIPTION TO GET MY MEDICATION COMPOUNDED?

Yes. You need a compounded prescription from your doctor that specifies the strength and active ingredients of your medication. We will also work with you and your doctor to incorporate your special needs such as flavor and delivery form.

  • WHAT TYPES OF PRESCRIPTIONS CAN BE COMPOUNDED?

All types of prescriptions for medications that are not commercially available can be compounded. The idea is to meet your individual needs or find a solution to a problem. For example, you may need to avoid an ingredient to which you have a particular sensitivity, or to have your medication formulated into a different dosage form such as a topical gel, a liquid or a lozenge. You may need to combine two or more medications to avoid carrying and taking so many pills. Contact us if you would like us to discuss the ideal solution with you and your doctor to meet your unique compounding requirements.
